Roles and Responsibilities: Provide bioinformatics support to R&D by analyzing and interpreting NGS data... Validate new assays and clinical product development Perform NGS data analysis and QA/QC platform Provide trouble shooting and improvement for bioinformatics pipeline and applications for clinical tests Develop new methods and maintain bioinformatics pipelines Education and Knowledge: PhD degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, structural biology, biophysics, biology and computer science, or related discipline preferred. MS degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, structural biology, biophysics, biology and computer science, or related discipline plus at least 3 years industrial experience Familiar with molecular biology, biological pathways, and genomics Strong knowledge of current theories and principals of bioinformatics and computational biology Technical Competencies (Skill, Abilities and Capabilities): Proficiency in the use of bioinformatics software, packages, and database Proficiency with Perl, Python, R, bash, C/C++, java, and SQL in Linux/Unix environment Proficiency in utilizing and development biomolecular modeling and dynamics tools Strong skills in the application of statistical analytical methods in genetic data analysis Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work within a team, among cross-departments, and as an independent contributor, requiring minimal supervision Experience: At least 2 years research and development experiments in the related fields Experience in using high performance computing and storage systems Experience in Illumina sequencing data and bioinformatics Next Generation Sequencing pipelines
